We know Christmas has been and gone in a heart beat, there’s pine needles all over the living room and you’re still forcing yourself through that box of quality streets, telling yourself you’ll start the health kick on Monday… but as always, at The Aisle we have just the thing to get you excited for January.

Run, don’t walk… it’s sample sale time!

That’s right, we have extended our sample sale lines and added even more to the collection. We are so fortunate to have some AMAZING designers here at the studio, but naturally, when designers bring out their latest collections, if something catches our eye, we have to add it to the family. As much as we adore all of our styles, we simply don’t have the space for all of them to be housed downstairs.

One of the biggest and best compliments we often get from brides is how clean, visible and easily shoppable our studio is. We really pride ourselves on this. We don’t want to overload you with lots of dresses that you can barely see, we aim to make the space tranquil and inviting, whilst also being able to offer you the latest most modern collections from our wonderful designers.

This is sad for us, because it means we have to move on from some of our beloved favourites - however this is great for you 2025 brides! It means some of those classic shapes and silhouettes you’ve been seeing from us, probably the ones you didn’t necessarily expect to see, are going to be in that sample room - what a winner!

So if you’re a little last minute on the dress front and need something off the peg, or you’re budgeting accordingly but still want designer names, then this, our biggest sample sale to date, could just be the best reason for you to start loving January again!

Ok so let’s get straight to the point. Here are the main highlights that you need to know.

This glorious and momentous occasion will take place on Saturday 25th January 2025 starting at 12pm on the dot and ending by 4pm. No one will be let into the studio before this time.

Now the important stuff, let's talk about price points. Some of our amazing dresses have up to 80% off! I know, we must be mad. This time around we have five different price brackets that each dress will fall into. So if you’re on a budget, you know exactly which section of dresses you should be looking at. The price brackets will be:

£500 (I know - that’s insane, you can actually get a designer sample dress for as little as £500! We’ve never had prices this low)

£900 (Still under £1000 - unbelievable!)

£1200

£1500

£1800

That means there won’t be anything over the £2k mark, so get ready for some serious savings on your favourite dresses. Please be aware that the prices of the sample sale dresses are only valid on the day of the sample sale. Our dresses will go back up in price the very next day, so if you spot something you love, don’t delay because it will never be that price at The Aisle again!

Sample sale day means no appointment needed. You don’t need to call or book in online, we’re running on a first come first serve basis exactly as we did last time. You’re welcome to arrive early if you’re itching to get to the front of the queue, but access to the studio will only commence at 12pm.

OK, so just a few rules to roll with. We understand you want your favourite people with you to give their opinion, but as we expect the shop to be bustling, it means space will be a little more limited than usual so we will only allow brides to bring one guest maximum. For health and safety reasons within the studio please make sure this is adhered to.

Come on in and initially pick three dresses that you love to take upstairs and try. You’ll have thirty minutes to try your selection with your stylist who will give you all the love, attention and styling tips you’ll need. If you haven’t found your perfect dress within those three you are, of course, welcome to go back downstairs and pick another three to try. That does, however, mean that you will have to join the back of the queue again. We won’t hold or save any dresses for anyone so if you see it, try it, love it - then get straight down to the cash desk to make your purchase because otherwise it will go back on the rails for someone else to potentially poach!

Please remember that these dresses are what they say on the tin - samples. We take extremely good care of our gowns which means that a lot of them, you would barely be able to tell they have been tried on previously, however it does mean that you are likely to get small imperfections or marks. That’s usually nothing that a combination of a good dry cleaner and seamstress can’t fix.

Even when we make made-to-order dresses for our brides, they need to be tailored to each individual's body, that’s where your seamstress comes in. So please bear this in mind and never expect a dress to fit perfectly from your initial try on. Remember, a seamstress can usually take a dress in by up to three sizes (absolute max) and out by one size. Take all of that into consideration when you’re trying on your choices. Our stylists will help guide you and talk you through all of this during your try on. Our sample dresses are a range of sizes from UK 6 - UK18 (with the majority being between UK10 and UK14.)

Then finally, as a little extra special new year treat from us, any purchase made on the day of the sample sale will come with an Aisle exclusive, plain tulle, cathedral length veil. Please note this will only be valid whilst stocks last so get to the front of that queue my loves to secure your beautiful veil!

Our sample sale last year was such a success that we just had to give you another one and we honestly can’t say how excited we are for it. There was such a buzz of gorgeous brides in the studio that day and, as always, it was a pleasure to be part of their dress journey.
